Mo Loschelder, founder and owner of Media Loca, originally came from Düsseldorf / West Germany where she has studied arts with famous painter Gerhard Richter.
In early 1990 she decided to move to what then was East-Berlin because of the exciting historical situation there at that time.
Mo was immediately attracted to the musical scene, started to DJ in various clubs, did programming at “Elektro” (a then very a happening place to be, with such names on the calendar as Cristian Vogel, Robert Hood, Electric Indigo, Acid Maria, Patrick Pulsinger… and many more) and in 1994 started producing electronic music together with Klaus Kotai (who then moved from Munich to Berlin).
At the same time Mo Loschelder worked at the well-known record-store “Hard Wax” where she was responsible for the “Strange Music” section.
Once “Elektro” had been shut down by authorities, Mo Loschelder, Klaus Kotai and Daniel Pflumm (artist and club owner of “Elektro”) started their label, “Elektro Music Department” (EMD) where numerous releases have been published, most of them musically originated by Kotai+Mo and artistically designed by D. Pflumm (label artwork and video clips).

The trio continued with 2 other clubs: “Panasonic” (from 1996-1997) and “Init” (1997-1999).
In 1998 Mo Loschelder gave birth to her daughter Maia.
From 2002 – winter 2005 she worked as an executive manager at a manufacturing service in Berlin, and in late 2005 Mo started as a booking agent at Gostimirovic Music Management.
In June 2009 she finally started this agency of her own, Media Loca.

„Media Loca“ means „Half Crazy“ in Spanish (female version).
You have to be half crazy for this kind of business where so much dedication and work is demanded with always too little money to be earned.
But you should definitively not be more than half crazy in order to speak in the name of the artist, respect his/her needs and, at the same time, make ends meet with capabilities and requirements of the event’s promoter.
