Electric Indigo, DJ and musician, has rocked clubs and festivals in 35 countries. Her name stands for an intelligent interpretation of the terms techno, party, and electronic music. Her music oscillates in an update of the imaginary triangle Berlin-Detroit-Chicago and Anton Waldt, DE:BUG Magazine Berlin, describes it as a "combination of human funkiness and a nonstop running 808": syncopated rhythms, distinctive bass lines, and the concise use of melodic elements. She started her DJ career in Vienna in 1989 and lived in Berlin for three years [1993-1996] to work at the legendary Hard Wax record store. In 1998 she created female:pressure, an international database for female DJs, producers, and visual artists in the fields of electronic music and club culture. In 2002 she started to play live - first in collaboration with other musicians to perform improvisational 21st century new music, since 2006 also solo in clubs for the dance floor. 2003 Electric Indigo founded her own record label indigo:inc recordings - a pure vinyl label for DJ-purpose. In early 2010 Electric Indigo composed the musical themes for the Austrian pavilion at the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai together with Alexander Wagendristel and after several remixes [for Tok Tok and TEMP~Records, a. o.] she has developed a new project together with Burkhard Stangl and Annelie Gahl at the composer's forum Mittersill in September 2010. Currently, she is working on the production of the "Viva la Pappa" album with Pia Palme and Jorge Sánchez-Chiong that will be released on Idyllic Noise in March 2011. She presents an indigo:inc radio show on play.fm every first Tuesday a month as well as a monthly live DJ mix for rts.fm. Vienna based musician/DJ Irradiation stands for sensual dark electronic music with a thumping beat. She has released on her own imprint TEMP∼Records, female pressure open:sounds, or on net labels like MIR music and kreatur so far. Audiovisual live-performances in cooperation with international visual artists (mingo.tv, Stefan Kushima, mes., jade, testphase) since 2002. Cross-genre musical (live) collaborations between analog & digital, techno, rap and experimental i.a. with TEMP∼colleagues Digilog, contrabass player Martin Stepanek (550 rondy), jazz-trombone player Werner Puntigam, Linz' industrial-veteran "das fleisch", Poetry-Slammer/Rapper Mieze Medusa (fm4 Soundselection), Didi Bruckmayr, Electric Indigo. Monthly radio show on play.fm (since 2005) and radio orange (since 2008). (Co-)organizing TEMP~ electronic music festival (2003-2009), the club series TEMP~est, TEMP~eriert and klick! Irradiation is well respected in Austria's electronic music scene for her integrative qualities and links the audio and visual domain beyond Austrian borders.
