BEROSHIMA
and how the story began...

The Beroshima project had been started by Frank Müller in the early 1990s, appearing first on his former label Acid Orange. The experimental sound of Beroshima on Acid Orange became a well-known trademark sound around the underground club network all over the world.

Label Work
Frank Müller's 2nd label Muller Records, launched in 1996, grew with Berlin based club sound and developed into one of the successful German electronic music export labels. He has built a musical network from Berlin around the globe to Tokyo to South America and South Asia. After four years he concentrated all his activities onto Muller Records the platform to which he invited other high-profile techno producers.
Some of the representable Beroshima releases like "Electronic Discussion" and "Deebeephunky" became worldwide stompers and started a series of club hits released on Muller Records. Soon other artists and friends joined the label.

Behind The Decks
At the same time Frank Müller promoted his sound as DJ and as high-quality live act in all the countless major venues around the world where techno is celebrated. Gaining a status as a techno-pioneer in countries like France, Japan and Germany Frank Müller has been a resident DJ at Mayday, Europe’s biggest indoor rave and now is a resident at the Wire Festival (Asia’s biggest indoor-rave, Japan). Nowadays he is hosting residency nights in Tresor and Club Maria, both based in Berlin.

Productions
Every single release has opened new dimensions and took him out to so many cities in the world. At the same time Frank Müller has invited other musicians and producers to explore new sounds and to broaden the scope of his project, sharing and trading different ideas. Blowing up the funk with artists like Ulrich Schnauss, Takkyu Ishino, Claude Young and DJ Rok, pushing every output into a new direction.
As Beroshima project he has closely collaborated with Ulrich Schnauss, playing countless live shows together over the years. Frank Müller definitely is to call a true innovator - representing a varied style of electronic music with its own twist. The unique sound of Beroshima and the variations of his latest releases make it difficult to describe his enormous output in a few words. Frank Müller and his alter ego Beroshima have by now became an icon. Just recently he turned back on the organic analogue sound that BEROSHIMA became known for. And his new style of performance again has been FULLY appreciated.

Recent Activities
One of Beroshima's recent hits "Corazon" was released on Muller Records and pushed his sound into a new direction. His release "Horizon" on Sven Vath‘s label Cocoon Recordings was one of the biggest hits in IBIZA during summer 2007. It was packed with minimal rework by Pig&Dan, with support pouring in from Valentino Kanzyani, Lucca and Francois K, John Digweed, Nick Warren.
A new release arrived on SOMA Records from UK in January, with remixes done by Funk D’void “Hope mix”, supported by Laurent Garnier, The Young Stars and James Zabiela. This release was compiled by Francois K as “Master piece” (ministry of sound UK) and by Funk D’void as “Sci-Fi Hi-Fi” (Soma mix CD series).
Beroshima's release “Moonraker” on his own label is power pushed Laurent Garnier and has just been licensed by Danny Howells for his next mix CD from Rennessaince.

The artist Beroshima is praised for his diverse performance and unique electronic music style, where multiple layered grooves, whirling bass-lines, dashes of melody strings evolve out of the wide range out of a since 20 years expanding record box. His world map has spread over Europe, Asia, Japan and South America which he is exploring with his musical compass. Loving to produce music in his gear factory, filled with original & geek equipment, where styles are without limit and genre.

”Let people wave! is all that matters", he says.
